Going back to the speech by Nelson Mandela at the inaugural
Laureus World Sports Awards, one thing that is core to
our work at Laureus is the power of sport to break down
barriers – and PeacePlayers does that as well as anyone.

PeacePlayers Partner
PeacePlayers fosters sustainable partnerships with a dynamic range of organizations committed to coaching children into empathetic ambassadors for peace, who inspire sustainable change in their communities through the unifying power of sport. We collaborate with partners to create transformative sport programs, developing community centered curricula and working together to execute programs effectively in divided communities around the globe.
PeacePlayers has partnered with the Stevens Initiative to forge more global connections and build capacity – virtually.
“Enhancing Global Connections,” funded by the Stevens Initiative, which is housed at the Aspen Institute and is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation, will provide over 1,000 young people around the world with high-quality virtual training in conflict resolution, community engagement, leadership, wellness and activism.
The ultimate goal is that this unique experience of learning together will empower them to make meaningful changes in their communities and beyond. Another key element of the program is partnership with the global sport for development sector, creating lasting relationships among partners through meaningful intercultural experiences and the sharing of knowledge.
