PeacePlayers believes that basketball has the power to be a catalyst for change. We achieve this by using the game of basketball to bridge divides, create equitable opportunities, and to develop youth leaders. In 2017, PeacePlayers partnered with Nike to bring our award winning programs to five US cities — Brooklyn, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, and Los Angeles. PeacePlayers operates grassroots programming in some of the most disinvested neighborhoods in these cities.
Our work is possible because of our advocates all over the world. From community leaders in Brownsville, Brooklyn to R.C. Buford of the San Antonio Spurs, these leaders believe in the PeacePlayers ethos and the power of sport to break down barriers and create a more peaceful and equitable world.
The Lunch & Learn series was created to unlock future opportunities for PeacePlayers youth, deepen PeacePlayers network in our cities, build bridges for others to engage and support our growing movement.
Join us for our first ever Lunch and Learn event! This initiative is spearheaded by John Piasta, UC Davis Men’s Soccer alum and Strategy Manager at Accenture and Sally Nnamani, PeacePlayers US Director of Programs and Partnerships. John has been a PeacePlayers advocate and donor in the past year. We invite you to join our virtual Lunch & Learn workshop to learn about how you can join or support the PeacePlayers movement.
