Requirements to Apply:
Must be 18 – 25 years of age.
Must be part of PeacePlayers Leadership Development Program for at least one year or a program equivalent.
Must be intermediate in English.

Commitment Needed:
Participation in closing retreat in August 2023 with another potential trip between December 2022 and February 2023
On average, 1-2 sessions a month for 1.5-2 hours each session
2-week online course in November – 2.5 hours a week
Virtual mentorship meetings once a month
Willingness to set personal and professional goals and actively work towards them

2. Applicants will be requested to interview if their application is shortlisted.
3. Spots are limited to 15-25 participants for the first pilot year. Unfortunately, not all applicants can be accepted. Please bear in mind that if you are not accepted into the Leadership Academy, there will be an opportunity to participate in your local sites alumni programming and or apply to the Global Leadership Academy the following year.
– A Global Committee composed of Alumni and PeacePlayers staff from across 5 sites will review the applications, conduct the interviews, and recommend applicants.
– Interviews will be conducted the week of September 25th.
– To understand how your application will be evaluated and for transparency purposes, review the application rubric.
The application has 3 sections – personal information, 3 short answer questions (written or video submission), and a recommendation form.
For the recommendation form section, please provide the email for your recommender. The form must be completed before the September 20 deadline. The person filling the recommendation form can be from the PeacePlayers community, school, or community. Please do not have a family member or peer complete your recommendation form.
Applicants are required to have one recommender, with the option of two.
PeacePlayers will help provide necessary technology equipment on a needs basis.
Yes! Peaceplayers will support applicants who want to improve their English skills upon request.
Yes! Some sites are just starting their LDP programs or it’s not up and running yet. So, if that’s your situation, please do apply.
Yes, along with the information sessions, each site has a representative that can help answer your questions. Please keep in mind that you need to give the representative plenty of time, so reach out to them early and don’t wait until the last minute.

Yes, PeacePlayers will provide support for travel documentation on a needs basis.
There are no fees to apply or participate. PeacePlayers will cover individual member travel costs associated with the program.
No, please pick one format per question. You can however answer a question in video and another question in written format or vice versa.
Leadership Academy staff will assign mentors to participants based on fit, career tracks, goals, and network accessibilities. versa.
In partnership with Udemy and CorpU, PeacePlayers is offering a course on “Cultivating Community through Meaningful Connection.” The interactive learning material will be completed at your own schedule, averaging 20 minutes daily over the 2-week course, and along with 2 live virtual events.
As a participant you’ll learn from experts how to design a project and execute it using a project cycle. If you choose to do a project, you will learn how to assess a need in your community, design a project that can help fill the gap, implement it, and then evaluate the project. You’ll receive seed money and guidance to help you put your project in action.
